Hirsutism-How long will I have to take spironolactone and at what dose before i notice my facial hair fading?
I have alot of dark coarse chin hairs. I have read alot about spironolactone helping alot with getting this under control. But at what dose, and for how long until I would start to notice a difference? also, does it lower blood pressure a whole lot? The spironolactone (generic for Aldactone) would have to be taken for an indefinite period of time in order to help with controling the hirsutism. The lowest dosage they have for the medication is at 50 mg and the highest they can go is to around 200 mg.
When I first went on it thru the brand name Aldactone I was put on it at 100 mgs per day when I started to notice improvement. It didn't affect my BP by dropping it any lower.
I would recommend getting back in touch with your doctor to see what they say.

I'm gonna be honest with ya man, enjoy the peach fuzz. Most ladies like a clean shaven dude anyway. And by the time you get a bit older and your beard comes in thicker, you're gonna get really bored with shaving and grooming your face forest. ok listen: shaving ur hair more doesn't make it thicker!!! hair naturally tapers at the ends, so when u shave it off the new tips come out thick compared to the old tips, but really it they're the thickness that the hair closest to ur head was.
and i have no idea if coconut oil makes hair grow faster, but i do know that if u want a tan it gets u really really dark. u can find it at most grocer stores.

I think a light scrub is good, and I like to steam my face (sit over hot steam with a towel over my head) then take a cold wash rag and wipe my face off. The steam opens your pores. I have heard Androgel is typically for older men but Im wondering if it can be used to incease facial hair growth. I grow some hair above my lip and a little on my chin and some for sideburns but none of the areas look full. If you go to a doctor, go to an Endocrinologist or a Urologist. They will more likely check your Testosterone levels. If you're no producing enough Testosterone, the'll check for the problem (pituitary, etc.). If you are considered ';hypogonadic'; like I was, and decide to use Testosterone on you, they might give you choices like Testosterone shots or Androgel (like you mentioned). To me, in my own personal experience, I've tried both and the shots hurt, but rubbing the Androgel on each day (or as prescribed by your doctor) is a much better route to take! At first, I started to get hairier on my body (chest, legs, and yep, face), and my sex-drive finally went up compared to where it was all those years, but eventually it stopped working for me as well as it did in the beginning! Not to scare you, but I got heavy, and my doctor performed a test and found that my body was converting my extra Testosterone into Estrogen!

When you go in, they will have you to take off your shirt and either put on a wrap or lay on the massage table w/out your shirt. They will drape you with sheets and a blanket. They will clean your face, steam it, use some type of scrub and then perform the extractions. If you don't feel comfortable taking off your shirt, just let them know. Usually they will be very accomodating. Usually during a facial, the treatment will extend to the neck. That's why they ask you to remove the shirt. Just relax and enjoy it.eyebrows liner

When you go in, they will have you to take off your shirt and either put on a wrap or lay on the massage table w/out your shirt. They will drape you with sheets and a blanket. They will clean your face, steam it, use some type of scrub and then perform the extractions. If you don't feel comfortable taking off your shirt, just let them know. Usually they will be very accomodating. Usually during a facial, the treatment will extend to the neck. That's why they ask you to remove the shirt. Just relax and enjoy it.

The lotions make your skin slightly oily so I use the mineral wear to cover up the red spots and get rid of the shine. It really gives a nice finish/coverage to your face. I have had 3 catscans since and my insurance has stopped paying my bills and now want to close the claim Tuesday. There's also a prescription cream called Vaniqua which can help reduce the growth of facial hair, but it only works for as long as you use it.

My fried used a facial mask that advertised having real dead sea minerals. I used the same mask, and it burned/tingled. Well, my friends face has now turned bright red and dried out completely, and it just looks like she has really bad acne, but she doesn't. This was 3 days ago as well, and it is just getting worse. Something like that may help if the scars are isolated.
If there are scars in a lot of places and tend to be smaller you could try a concealor that comes in a tube with a ';mascara-type'; applicator that you dab the liquid concealor on with.

have never heard of those brands. I have used Noxzema original face wash cream since i was a teen and never had hardly any breakouts. I still use it because it is a great moisturizer. As for cosmetics, i jump around alot but usually come back to cover girl and maybelline
I use arbonne products. I have oily skin and have tried just about everything available, and recently started using a product called clear advantade, I have noticed a major improvement in my skin. They also have a great bronzer, which in no way makes you look orange, gives a very natural glow. You will love your radiant skin after using this recipe.
All you need is:
1 tbsp fuller's earth
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp mashed papaya
Mix and put on face for 20 minutes then rinse off.

1-2 tbs. oats
2 tbs. plain yogurt
1 tsp. brewers yeast (optional)
1 tbs baking soda
2 multi vitamins

Combine all ingredients in blender and puree, adding additional oats oats for a thicker texture apply mask to cleansed skin and allow to set for 8-10 minutes rinse off with warm water, and cleanse with pure soap if needed.
Honey mask
About 1 tbs. honey apply to face and let sit 10-15 min. Rinse.
(Anti-bacterial so it's good for acne and even if you don't have acne it's a great moisturizing mask.)
Papaya mask/exfoliant (My favorite!!!)
Cut papaya in 1 inch chunks. Blend/mash 2 or 3 chunks and store the wrest in the freezer. Apply the blended/mashed papaya and leave on face for 10-20 min. Use 2 or 3x a week.
The papaya may tingle but that just means that the papaya is working and it is breaking down dead skin cells to give that lovely glow and since it breaks down the dead skin it clears out the pores and in turn they shrink!!! (You may not see the results you want until you use it for a while.)

Rinse well with warm water and pat dry. Repeat weekly. ( I use french clay)

However if you wanted to tackle this surgically you can enquire about an acid peel - this sounds harsh - but its a very effective surgical procedure. Do some research on it and see if it suits you. It will come at a price - but its certainly cheaper than wasting years on useless products that really wont give you the desired results. Good luck

And use 1-2 tbs and add a bit of water to make a paste for a simple facial mask. But if you have it add a bit of honey and/or dried milk poweder before adding the water. Then add water to make a paste. Apply to your face and let it sit for 15-20 minutes and rinse.

My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
Depends on your skins type -
If you have oily shine, go for an anti-shine moisturizer
Likewise, with dry-skin you should get a nighttime one, they are extra moisturizing
With combination skin, pick and mix (:
Most moisturizers should leave your skins feeling softer, albeit a bit sticky at first.

use that. YOur skin drinks it up and you wont break out. Make sure you drink alot of water if you have bad pimples that wont go away. Trust me when i didnt drink much water i break out. SO i started drinking like 8 cups a water a day staring 3-4 weeks ago, and it worked. Also eat as much organic food =)
use cliniderm soothing cream; it is meant for dry skin and there is no scent and it is not oily i use it and it is straight forward moisturizer:)

Here are some good ones:
Acne Tonic with Basil
2 to 3 teaspoons dried basil leaves
1 C. boiling water
Steep basil leaves in water for 10 to 20 minutes. Cool, then apply to face with a white cotton ball.
Blackhead Remover Mask
1/2 cup fuller's earth
1 tsp. tincture of benzoin
distilled witch hazel
Combine all ingredients and stir thoroughly. Apply the mask to your skin. Let mask dry and harden - about 30-40 minutes. Soak a small hand towel in warm water and lay it across your face.
When the mask starts to soften up, gently rub it with the towel in a circular motion. Rinse with plenty of warm water.
Oatmeal Mask
Blend some oatmeal with water and gently spread it onto your skin. Leave it until it dries (10-15 minutes). This mask is gentle and safe.
Egg Yolk Mask
Egg Yolks contain Vitamin A which is good for scarring. To attempt this method of acne treatment, whip up an egg yolk, apply it to your skin for 20 minutes. Wash off.

Has anybody used Arbonne facial cleansers? They are really expensive so I wanted to find out if they really worked as well as they say before I buy the kit.

I hear that this product leaves you skin oily. Check out AVON's product called Anew not to mention MUCH cheaper. Try it out, it works great.
