* Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and in any case only works effectively on a dark hair/light skin combinantion.
* Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.
Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). Most women who try a men's Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before.

What facial cleanser should I use?
I have an acne-prone face and if I don't wash my face it gets really bad. So I wash my face twice a day. Once in the morning, and once before I go to bed. But I still have pimples on my chin, forehead, and nose. I've been using Mary Kay Velocity cleanser and moisturizer. Do you think I should get new facial cleanser, or if I keep washing my face will it clear up? What facial cleanser should I use?
I tried Velocity a few years back and liked it not loved it. I still use the moisturizer though, as that really does a good job on my face. The cleanser is more for people with mild to no acne. Used for women in their late 30s or 40s not teens, as I assume you are.
I use Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser.

if you want to clear your acne, you need to do more than just wash your face. To start with you will want to remove any makeup, Neutrogena makes a good makeup removing cleaser called Illuminating Foamy Cream cleanser. If you don't wear makeup the body shop has a great tea tree oil cleanser. After that you need to exfoiliate with a facial scrub or a little scrubby thing (I don't know what they're called) Then you need to use mousturizer. Vichy makes a good one called normaderm for acne prone skin. It's your choice whether you want to wear makeup or not but if you do, try maybellines mineral power that doesn't clog pores. Good luck!
Most facial cleansers can take up to 6 weeks before they begin completely working. Depending on how long you've been using the Mary Kay Velocity cleanser and moisturizer, you may need to switch. If you do switch, I would highly recommend Neutrogena. I, and many of my friends, use it and have found it to work very well. I use the Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser twice a day. But I also use the Neutrogena Wave with the facial cleanser to get the scrubbing power. Hope you find what you need!

Start a good routine:
Face Wash
Ok so really what you need to do first is find a good face wash. I use Deep clean gentle scrub by neutrogena. It's a cream with microbeads. Clean %26amp; clear facial scrub works good to. It's more of a gel and also has microbeads.
Toner
Ok after you wash, you need to use a toner. A lot of people skip this step. Using a toner will get rid of blackheads and prevent breakouts. I first noticed a difference the first few days after I started using toner. I use Clear pore by neutrogena. But any should work.
Moisturize
So after you wash and use toner it is very important to moisturize. I use Clean %26amp; clear oil-free dual action moisturizer. It moisturizes your skin without leaving it oily and it treats acne at the same time. It's a white bottle with a pump action (usually) purple lid.
Acne medication
Clearasil Ultra -vanishing acne treatment cream works great. It is 10% benzoyl peroxide. I put it on problem areas after I use toner. All of these products I mentioned are not expensive and you can find them at wal mart or target.
Water -Start drinking a TON now.
And the most important part of keeping your face clear is to drink as much WATER as possible. When girls get acne on america's next top model the judges always tell them to start drinking more water to clear up. It's true. Water does help. When I'm not drinking enough water I can tell the difference. Also try to eat more veggies like greens.

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!
Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts?
However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.
Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.
However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.
If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.
If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.
The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.
The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.
Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

It really cleared up my skin quickly and actually renewed my skin altogether. I now have a nice glow and only an occasional zit. It works wonders and I'd recommend it to anyone.

if you want to clear your acne, you need to do more than just wash your face. To start with you will want to remove any makeup, Neutrogena makes a good makeup removing cleaser called Illuminating Foamy Cream cleanser. If you don't wear makeup the body shop has a great tea tree oil cleanser. After that you need to exfoiliate with a facial scrub or a little scrubby thing (I don't know what they're called) Then you need to use mousturizer. Vichy makes a good one called normaderm for acne prone skin. It's your choice whether you want to wear makeup or not but if you do, try maybellines mineral power that doesn't clog pores. Good luck!
Most facial cleansers can take up to 6 weeks before they begin completely working. Depending on how long you've been using the Mary Kay Velocity cleanser and moisturizer, you may need to switch. If you do switch, I would highly recommend Neutrogena. I, and many of my friends, use it and have found it to work very well. I use the Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser twice a day. But I also use the Neutrogena Wave with the facial cleanser to get the scrubbing power. Hope you find what you need!

Start a good routine:
Face Wash
Ok so really what you need to do first is find a good face wash. I use Deep clean gentle scrub by neutrogena. It's a cream with microbeads. Clean %26amp; clear facial scrub works good to. It's more of a gel and also has microbeads.
Toner
Ok after you wash, you need to use a toner. A lot of people skip this step. Using a toner will get rid of blackheads and prevent breakouts. I first noticed a difference the first few days after I started using toner. I use Clear pore by neutrogena. But any should work.
Moisturize
So after you wash and use toner it is very important to moisturize. I use Clean %26amp; clear oil-free dual action moisturizer. It moisturizes your skin without leaving it oily and it treats acne at the same time. It's a white bottle with a pump action (usually) purple lid.
Acne medication
Clearasil Ultra -vanishing acne treatment cream works great. It is 10% benzoyl peroxide. I put it on problem areas after I use toner. All of these products I mentioned are not expensive and you can find them at wal mart or target.
Water -Start drinking a TON now.
And the most important part of keeping your face clear is to drink as much WATER as possible. When girls get acne on america's next top model the judges always tell them to start drinking more water to clear up. It's true. Water does help. When I'm not drinking enough water I can tell the difference. Also try to eat more veggies like greens.

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!
Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts?
However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.
Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.
However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.
If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.
If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.
The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.
The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.
Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

You can get it threaded. This is a new techineque like getting your eyebrows done. Sometimes it is hard to find , but right now its growing with popularity. It wont hurt and if you have sensitive skin it might feel a bit tingly but not to much. Look it up online if you are having trouble finding it. Most salons are doing it now though. You can also just wax it like you do your eyebrows. If you mean mall store/department store:
I exfoliate a few times a week (I use Origins antioxidant scrub)
I follow up with Clinique antibacterial facial bar with a face soap brush I got from bath and body works.. the brush is awesome!! I have the foam version of the soap too for travel, but I love the bar with the brush combo.
I also use PRECLEANSE by Dermalogica which is a really awesome product, it is actually oil based, you would think that is bad, but it bonds with the oil in your skin to remove it all, then you follow up with cleansing. If you have started growing a moustache, it is high time you get a razor too. At 12 you just don't need a Gillette Fusion Power or whatsoever. Just buy the Gillette disposable ones preferably with twin blades. Later when you have more beards and moustache then you can invest in more expensive shavers.
It is okay for boys to have bushy eyebrows. Just pluck the in between if it is continuous as you don't want a moustache on top there too! You can even trim the eyebrows if they are really too bushy for your taste. If you are still not happy, you can have them professionally plucked. Most male models have their eyebrows re-styled. They are not plucked excessively like girls but given a more manly look!

Facial swelling may be caused by what medication the hospital is giving to treat the pneumonia- one thing I have to stess is to make sure it is not aspirational pneumonia, it can be more serious and it is when a person with parkinson's while muscles weaken cannot get food down the right way and it ends up going into the lungs.

And, it can also make you get pimples {depends on person} if you use that stuff too much, or wash your face. The good thing about Cetaphil is that is a very gentle cleanser, and at the same time leaves your skin really clean and helps control oil production. Sometimes we use chemicals that are too harsh, and the only thing they do is make your skin worse. But with Cetaphil that doesn't happen. I use the normal to oily skin type, and I'm very happy with it. It's not over drying and doesn't clog pores.
Since you don't have acne, just pimples every once in a while, use a good oil free moisturizer afterwards, and that's it!

i suggest something thatz antibacterial .. so ur pimples dont spread or form .. so ur skin wont feel tight..go for noxzema ..the orange antibacterial cleanser or the rite-aid antibacterial face wash..look for products that hav triclosan in them ..not salicylic acid or benxoyl peroxide[too overdrying!!!!]

I have recently been through a huge amount of stress, which resulted in my violent ex being charged with my attempted murder. I'm pretty sure that it's all linked, but I've developed a patch of skin on one side of my face which resembles eczema. My nurse agrees.
I've tried using vitamin e cream to no avail. Does anyone have any miracle cures? I'm going on holiday with my particularly hunky friend this weekend, and don't want to keep covering it up with my hand, or concealer!

When someone has a rash only on one side of the face, it raises the possibility of a mild fungal infection, and that would be another possibility if the above doesn't work. That wouldn't necessarily be related to your terrible experiences. A doctor should be able to tell you. There is a pic of a fungal infection of the face (the lower left jaw skin) at the link below.
Either way, I don't think it will get better within the time scale you require, it may take a week or two. Eczema is not catching, but a mild fungus infection is, a bit.

Your nurse should have told you that there is no cure for eczema. And you are right, it often flares up with stress. I do know that putting any type of oil will only cause it to get worse, because the problem is that when you have eczema, your skin attacks its own oil with acid and that is what causes the flaking. So adding oil only adds to the problem.
Also, lanolin can cause eczema to worsen, so stay away from products and make up which contain lanolin.
Many patients have great success with a prescription liquid called Desonide. It is oil-free and is used daily. Ask your doctor or dermatologist if it could be right for you.

I've been to several day spas and at some places I breakout after a facial and at others I don't. Is the breaking out a sign that it's working or a sign that they don't know what they are doing? I have had a little problem with that since puberty and I used to wax, but didn't always have money to get it done and didn't like messing with the hot wax at home. The hair removal cream works too, but it can get expensive and not always good for sensitive skin. I just learned how to thread and now I absolutely love it. Threading is an Indian technique for removing hair (usually eyebrows) but can be used for anywhere. I'm going to try neostrata's 15% alpha hydroxy lotion a couple times a week. .from skinwest.com As far as things you can buy at the drugstore. .you can look for queen helene's mint julep mask ($3.99 for tube), which has two types of clay for cleaning out the pores. Although it doesn't reduce facial hair, what you do have will usually grow more slowly.
Oh and HRT does reduce your testosterone levels. That's the whole point of HRT: To reverse the hormone balance in your body.

Once you've had testosterone and developed facial hair, it's kind of been ';turned on';, so to speak. I think vocal chords and hair growth are the two permanent offenders of testosterone... Lowering your testosterone will perhaps slow the growth... but I think hair removal processes are your only real option...

People stare, aren't so friendly, but people stereotype others based on looks. It's sad but true.

the mask is homemade and it is only composed of orange peel, honey, and a little water. It may be a hormonal problem. Don't take this personally but how big is your penis? There are such things as really late bloomers. If you don't think that's your problem than talk to your doctor and see if he will subscribe you hormone supplements.
