Do employers not hire people with facial piercings?

What if the applicant has an impressive educational/work background and markets themselves very well? Do employers not hire people with facial piercings?
Employers are not suppose to discriminate against people of color, religion, weight, and ya piercing but we all know that it does happen all the time so if you really want to work apply at a piercing friendly environment or remove them during work hours. My niece has tattoos, piercings and a Mohawk and has a great job at a dental office, But during work hours she puts all that sh!t away and looks presentable for work maybe you can do the same.Do employers not hire people with facial piercings?
It depends on what business you want to work in. If it is a professional business where a suit and tie is required they will not hire you or may ask you not to wear it while at work or representing the company.

Most retail businesses are more forgiving.

My GF middle daughter has a face piercing and tattoos. She has to take it out to go to work and has to wear pant suits or dress slacks to hide the tattoos on her legs.
The company cannot discriminate against piercings of any type.

They can AND DO not allow you to wear the items that you place in them. It is generally unhygenic to have these piercings, Can cause infections in certain work areas, and is unappealing to most people.
Look at it from the employer's point of view. There are 10 applicants for the job. I need to eliminate some and the guy with the piercings is the first to go.
My job in particular does hire individuals with facial piercing however you are not allowed to report to work with the facial piercing.
It depends where you are applying for.

I would think they wouldn't at a professional type of environment.

I know they do at stores like Hot Topic.
I don't, it looks unprofessional, and I believe it says alot about the kind of person they are.
That does happen but u should call the police.
