Some suggestions on creating facial hair?

I found a few tips, but nothing really clear.... I'm going to a drag party in a few weeks and wanted to do up a little moustache/goatee. And I recently dyed my hair red (half way between auburn and carrot) so finding a matching fake one in costume shops has proved difficult.


I thought about using my own hair, but I want a very short, almost-stubble look and am not sure how to get that. And help would be greatly appreciated!Some suggestions on creating facial hair?
Easiest way is with liquid latex and crepe hair. Stubble is hard to do and you'll need to play with it a bit. One thing you might do is take a stippling applicator and apply the latex in that fashion...then apply a light layer of crepe. After that use first scissors and then an electric shaver to bring it down to the level you want.





You'll want to take a few days of practice to make it look realistic...but ultimately this is probably your easiest method.
