What would cause fetal alcohol syndrome facial features in child whose mother never drinks?

ive read about this and it is only called fetal alcohol syndrome When the mother has drunk heavily during the pregnancy.


Sorry to possibly open a can of worms but could the mother be in denial? OR MAYBE ITS NOT THAT SYNDROME AT ALL.........
